Taken by the same photographer who shot the Queen for her 80th. Pooh is also 80. Assuming the photo hasn’t been tweaked, Pooh has suffered the ravages of time remarkably well. Over the years he has managed to retain his boyish appearance.
Science is still unraveling the puzzles of bear hibernation, if that is his secret. But then, no one has reported seeing Pooh head for a den after fattening up over the summer. Wait. He fattens up, and heads home, but we’ve never determined that he is there to hibernate. To socialize maybe.
