tomato names

May 11, 2006

After some searching, I’ve found Black Crim (Russian), Costoluto (Italian) and Asian Acclaim in 4-inch pots and Red October seeds. All the Brandywine seeds came up. Due to all the rain, my tomato garden is delayed by about two months.

The Red Octobers? They’ll come up in due time, and I’ll be able to refer to them as my ’round American tomatoes’.

  2. Oh, at least. If they are big ones, I’ll call them buck-ah-rrrrooos.

  3. Do you have a description for the Asian Acclaim tomatoes? I can’t seem to find one anyway, but I picked up one of those on a whim also. (I have way too many tomato plants!)

  4. Hi Cookie,

There is no such thing as too many tomato plants : ). I picked up two of these at OSH, and the info on the tag says Kawahara Nursery in Morgan Hill. They seem very sturdy, with 9 baby tomatoes and lots of flowers. Good luck with yours!
