the story of Hachiko, the faithful dog
January 6, 2006Every day, he went to the train station to meet his master, Professor Eisaburo Ueno, after work. When the professor died, Hachiko kept showing up at the station, and continued to do so for 11 years.
To honor his loyalty, a statute was created, but wound up being recycled during WW II. Later, another was made, and still stands in front of the train station.
