death by durian

It is possible to die from eating an excess of durian? Four does seem like quite a lot.

pilling a large dog

There is a sequence in Spirited Away that reminded me of pilling our dog, a job that always fell to me. No matter if we hid the pill in a piece of hot dog or other choice morsel, he always managed to eat the morsel and spit out the pill. He craved attention, so if someone opened his mouth wide, and stuck a big pill down there, he might have blinked a bit, but it was fine with him.

I understand that there are now devices that assist in this task.

Spirited Away

Extraordinary. I’ll have to see it again. Sometimes the best movies are in the children’s section. Frankly, I think some kids would find quite a bit of it awfully intense, especially No Face.

dinner and a movie: Spirited Away

It was a choice between chicken marsala and a beef stir fry. The beef won out simply because it has been sitting in the fridge for a few days and needed attention.

The movie is going to be kind of dark, isn’t it. We’ll see.

And here I was complaining about a rat.

In this case, the owner is a former circus owner, and chose to house his animal in his garage, much to the dismay of his neighbors.
