the exam dream
March 5, 2005At least it wasn’t a college exam that I once again
a) did not study the subject for the entire semester
b) neglected to buy the textbook
c) never could find the classroom, therefore never went to class
d) registered for, but did not show up ever, thereby did not think I had to take the test
e) find that it is calculus once again
No, this time, I was at Long’s drugstore, waiting in line for what I thought was something else, only to encounter a woman who told me that she was sorry, but I had failed the written drivers’ test. What? She said, flapping the test sheet in my face, that I obviously had not studied the manual. Now we’re getting into humiliation.
At least there were no formulas on this test.
