Out of an inability to cope today, I pointed to the top of my iTunes library, where Al Green and Al Jarreau reside. Al will be singing Since I Fell for You and the theme from Moonlighting, followed by Antonio Carlos Jobim, Antonio Vivaldi, and Aretha Franklin (Freeway of Love).
Usually I don’t listen to Brazilian music until the evening. During work, it is too lulling, and lacks a much-needed edge, especially after lunch. Not a good day for Vivaldi either. Got lots of Brian Eno. No, not today. And so it goes down through Chris Botti, Dido, Elvis (Suspicious Minds), and Emmylou Harris. I need some new music.
